Questions pilots ask

How MinsMet works, where the jobs come from, and what happens to your profile.

Is MinsMet free for pilots?

Yes. Building a profile, seeing your matches, saving jobs and the daily job alert email are free.

Does "Qualified" mean I'll get the job?

No. It means your profile meets every required minimum we read from the posting. The employer makes the final decision, and anything a profile can't check is listed under "Confirm with the employer".

Where do the jobs come from?

Employers post directly, and we source postings from operators' careers pages and the Government of Canada Job Bank. Pilots can suggest links too. A reviewer checks every listing before it goes live.

How do you keep listings current?

Sourced postings are re-checked about every 3 days, and each listing shows the date it was last confirmed open. A listing that hasn't been confirmed in 30 days (60 for employer posts) drops out of matches, and filled or expired jobs come down.

Can I use an FAA certificate?

Yes. Add every licence you hold. Each authority is matched separately, so a Transport Canada job never counts an FAA certificate.

I'm a low-time pilot. Is this useful for me?

Yes. Filter by Entry level to see first jobs, and the Close group shows how many hours you still need for the rest.

Can employers see my profile?

Not unless you opt in under "Let employers contact you". Even then, verified employers see an anonymous summary with hours rounded to 100, never your name or email, until you reply.

How do I update my flight hours?

Edit Flight time in My profile and set the "Totals as of" date. Your matches update straight away.

How do I report a filled or wrong listing?

Use "This job has been filled" or "Report a problem" on the job's page, or email us.

Can I download or delete my data?

Yes. In Account you can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and profile straight away.
