MinsMetBot
MinsMetBot is the robot that keeps MinsMet's pilot job listings up to date.
What it does
Once a day it opens the job postings listed on MinsMet to check they are still open. Every two days it reads the careers pages of Canadian aviation employers for new pilot jobs, and once a month it reads the Job Bank open data file. New jobs go to a person for review before they appear. It doesn't collect personal information, and it doesn't post or apply to anything.
It identifies itself with this user agent: MinsMetBot/1.0 (+https://minsmet.ca/bot)
How it behaves
- It follows robots.txt and won't open a page that robots.txt disallows.
- It makes at most one request a second to any site.
- It only opens job postings already listed on MinsMet and the careers page of each employer it follows, never a whole site.
- Every listing links back to the employer's own posting so pilots apply there.
Asking it to stop
Add this to your robots.txt and MinsMetBot won't open any page on your site:
